Question about Proxy

Hi all,
Can you guys tell me if Proxy plug in accepts all the tools that come with EIAS. eg, bones animation, deformation, rodeo forces, etc…

I am looking to purchase these plug in but i want to make sure i get my answer before buying it.

Also i want to make sure that the plug in is 39$. Is this true. Could these be also included in the core?

Thanks Edgard

I think with these plug in i can finish on time the video clip. Thanks a lot for the support.

EDIT: I have read the manual and it doesnt mentioned anything about surfaces being deformed or skinned, just says position and rotation could be transfered.

Placer Deposit question

Is it possible to use a Placer Deposit group as a stamp object inside another Placer Deposit group?

I can create it and it all shows up in Animator just like it should, but when it renders it just renders the one internal Placer group - I can swear I did this before, but I can’t remember how I did it.

thanks

Instance/Replicator

Hi folks,
I am requesting the instance plug in which CJ programmed for the use of EI community and its associates.

Is already developed it just needs to be enhanced a bit more.
Why?… well complex animations like the next bellow.
This is easy from a point of view but to recreate it requires time patience and a lot of caffeine.

Thanks Edgard.

The animation has a petal with a bounch of bones for a soft bending for each petal. Than after i did got the movement that i liked i just simple duplicate as a many as i wanted to, but for my surprise i had to BindSkin them again and redo the whole work for each petal.
Each IK is constrained (Position-Modify Y) to a sphere, so it has only one channel that controls the IK chain.
Now i want to duplicate the same flower 5 times. And so for… is very archaic in my opinion. Just to get the shapes correct into EIAS was a big pain. Because there is no way to texture any non planar shape, so i had to do it throug UV using FBX , but these is why of my request it seems reasonable or if you guys can tell me a short cut will be nice.

Thanks

Last Call for Para Plugins

Hi Everyone,

Its August 15th and that means its deadline day for the Paralumino Plugins. There is no set agreement between the Igors, EITG and myself as to when or if these plugins will ever be available again. (Hopefully they will) Get them now while you can. The Igors’ have pledged support to all who have purchased the products for bug fixes but not for further development. I believe these plugins are probably the best form of integration and animation enhancement you can currently buy for Animator. Orders will be processed through midnight PST.

somehwere in the voluminous discussion about trestle and importing AI files Ian mentioned a way to use a plane with an image texture as a template in trestle. (i think, sometimes it’s pretty late when i read this stuff)

i’ve searched for it, but can’t seem to find it…

anyone remember the trick...ahem...Ian?…

it would be much appreciated.

I am working on a project which suppose to show animated object’s growth in ‎different axis.‎
‎(Example: A pipe grows and turns along the pre-defined path)‎
Is there any plug-in available to do this task???‎
Plz help me to find out solution.‎

‎(Note: In After Effects I imitated pipe growth.. however this idea did not work ‎when the whole scene is moved.)‎

Hi All.

I was wondering where the Fibre Forge plugin was and if it has gone to digital heaven?

I can’t find it in the Konkeptoine plugins section. The last I heard it was still being ported for UB but nothing since then.

Paralumino Plug-Ins discontinued

Hi All

Unfortunately, we must declare about discontinuing of all commercial Paralumino plug-ins with our participation:

- MrRevolver
- Trestle
- Scrim
- Braider
- Swage

After long thinking we came to conclusion: activity of Brian J. Pohl is counter-productive and harmful for EI and us personally. And if we really think so - we must stop any business with this person. We’ll not comment anything but can only say: our solution is not impulsive but well-thought. Related things

- we’ll continue these plug-ins support for all customers to fix bugs/probs in these plug-ins if users found them

- “source codes” etc - for any project in bounds of EITG (no matter with/without our participation) any our source codes will be given (if they needed) and we’ll not ask any money. However, that’s for EITG only.

- if you want to buy some of them - please do this before August 15, 2008. After this date no any copy can be sent

We are really sorry about this but we think our solution is right and only one possible. Sorry, gentlemem

We’ll not more answer in this thread.

Is EITG allowed to adquire and develop Paralumino’s plugins?

I am opening this thread aiming to now what the chances of EITG adquiring the source code of Paralumino’s discontinued plugins and further developing them are.

As I’d really like to know the Igors’s opinion in this matter, I’d hope this thread to go strictly businesslike. Ideally, only people with real responsabilities in Paralumino and EITG should answer this question. Let emotions and opinions flow to the original thread: Paralumino Plug-Ins discontinued.

The key thing is this assertion:

- “source codes” etc - for any project in bounds of EITG (no matter with/without our participation) any our source codes will be given (if they needed) and we’ll not ask any money. However, that’s for EITG only.

Does this mean that:

-EITG could sell the Paralumino plugins under their brand?

-EITG could add these Paralumino plugins to the base EIAS package (and further develop them)?

-Their capabilities could be added to EIAS, just not in their current form to avoid any kind of legal issues?

-It only relates to EITG needing to examine the code to solve any present or future problem interacting with these plugins?

WHere is Matt Drummond?

HI ,

I am wondering as an artist the incredible amount of skills and technical knowledge Matt Drummond has.
As users is easy to think this can be done with EIAS, right out of the box.

Is it?

As i have seen the bacteria animation a couple of hundred times. I am getting inspired and try to learn EIAS again and again, but i seem confused when people is talking about Hard Body animation and it was not intended to be used for organic animation.

Isn’t Matt´s work a demonstration of organic animation?
How much organic can you get?

Is not character animation, but is a reference of why i keep using EIAS. Is because Camera/Animator relationship.
When i got EIAS i got the product because their camera mapping and the things i could do with its deformers and i was in school studying video production so i wanted something that could handle video as well, and at the time it had some of the best reputation.

Many other plugins could be included in the core.As many other applications has done in the past.
Than you could pay more attention to Animator and we will be happy to pay for a new upgrade.

Camera is a beast as Richard Morley said that is why we keep using EIAS.Give some love to Animator please.

With love,Edgard.
