It has been reported that Leopard causes Renderama to lose the connection after the first frame is rendered. In the
past, these issues have been caused by bugs in the OS itself. We will be investigating but it is unlikely we will have
an “instant” solution to this issue. Please hang on to your OS 10.4 partitions if you intend to use Renderama.

It has also been reported that Version 6.5 is having problems under Leopard. Specifically, the open and save file dialog boxes cause Animator to crash.

Mac OS 10.5.1 does NOT fix the Renderama problem in 6.6

I noticed this right away. Is there going to be a patch for this, or is the official solution to upgrade to v7?

We will not be working further on version 6.5. The only fix will be to upgrade to 7

So what is the status of v7 and Leopard? Are they happy with each other now?  If so, what version of 7 should I be buying?

The only issue with V7 and Leopard is Renderama. And even this problem is fixed in 7.0.1. We are in final test of 7.0.1 now.

That’s great news, Matt!  Because right now, my happy little render farm is completely borked. Going from 32 cores to 1 core inspires me to commit Seppuku. smile Get that bad boy out the door!

Yeah, soon would be good, got a lot of rendering to do and I ‘stupidly’ took ‘The only fix would be to upgrade to 7’ (see above) to mean Version 7 not 7.0.1. So I went over to Leopard. doh!

This week would save my life!? surprised

However, loving the new version! Especially the dynamics engine, release the teapots!
