Hi there guys has the export with textures problem being solved? I want to bring a model of a car already textured in C4D ( i used the typical projection mapping techniques) i just dont want to do all the textures again on EI , i don“t remember if i need to get OBJ2FACT for this type of situations or not. Or i should apply to the the polys it self the texture in cinema .
What is the solution here? Could the whole scene be imported? I dont care about the sky map as a reflection used in cinema i could do that my self but the lightning of the scene it will save a lot of time i just want to use EI rendering engine.

Thanks ,
Edgard

EI’s model importers do not bring in textures. If you want automatic texture placement then you will
need Obj2fact.

Hi Edgard,

I usually model and texture in C4D, you need just bake the object in C4d, you can also Bake the occlusion and shaders, normally I bake textures + occlusion in my character the results are very good.

Yes, you need OBJ2Fact, the translation is perfect, and very easy.

don’t forget remove N-gons in C4d!!

Cheers

Sorry for not replying before Diego. I got the info now , thanks man. Wow so baking the texture works when importing your models, that is great news. Well they are the UVs for the models. That is awesome Diego. Thanks. Have you tried to mix a GI rendering and some motion blur inside EI.That will be awesome but i don’t know how will that lok gee i cant wait to have OBJ2FACT another one for my wish list.
Nos vemos Diego,
Edgard
