Hi, Ross

We’ve to say nothing new, just a bit re-formulate. There are “must have” features and “nodal manager” (or “shaders tree” or other name) is one of them.  You estimate it more, we - less, but.. it’s not a principal difference IMO. Anyway it would be better (much better) to solve this and to have this feature - instead of to hear quite rational users’ requests year by year. Let’s hope

Hi Edgard,
In the example I posted, I didn’t use Waveworld in AE smile
I only used After Effects to animate a drawing I did in Photoshop and generate a .img animation file for EIAS. Essentially it was just a black and white (grayscale actually) animated file of the displacement action.

In EIAS, I then mapped a Ubershape plane with the .img animation, putting it in the geometry/displacement tab.

I thought so , but still doesnt seem like a real displacement to me. It seems more like a super bump.smile Displacement moves the polygonal surface based on Black through WHites shades. But if these is the extremest you can get than you can get tailor tool tht was the option for this type of displacement that i am looking for.

Hi Edgard,

Displacement is a fully correct feature, it displaces polygons based on black and white colours. It can be as extreme as you like.

Give it a try smile

Hi Edgard,

displacement in EI work best with ‘very’ high poly model, and give a same number to the displacement and bump factor.

hope this help.

Hi Edgard,
I’ve collected my project in a zip archive in case you’d like to have a look at the geometry displacement.
It’s at:

http://www.geocities.com/aziz_cg/Wakewavefile/

The file is called Wakewave.zip

Thanks guys for the help, do you know any plugins that work as the displacemet does?. It is so time consuming and very limited as well it did work anyways Aziz but once want to really create the displacemet effect the surface breaks apart and to really get the surface not to break you need to subdived a lot your surface is ridiculous. That doesnt happned with a lot of other applications. Thanks
