http://web.mac.com/finaleffects/SuperNova_Animation_&_Visual_Effects/Shot_list.html

it takes 4 or 5 minutes to load, its downsampled from a 1920x1080 animation.

its a loop meant for continuous play.........

I had two Cinema 4d users look at this and go “EI Camera did THIS?!”

I JUST SMILED.....

Scott, Excellent work!!!!!!!!!
I went to your site supernova...your demo reel is unbeleivable.!!

Since you are an experienced user of EIAS & all available plug-ins, I have a question.
Plz give your valuable reply.

I am using dante 3.1 UB version with EIAS 7.01 in Macpro 3.2Ghz leopard with 6GB RAM.

During rendering the camera crashes after rendering app. 100 frames.
I tried dante 3.1 with different projects...even unistalled and installed again.
The project is perfect without Dante.

(However I have old dante 2.6 with G4 and classic version. EI universe 4.0. No crash there)

And no reply from Brad..........................

thanks Dominic, I need to be gentle here.  I own virtually all northern lights plugins and only have gotten use out of one of them to date. (dante) I would suggest doing your particle systems in post with a program like Particle illusion or Trapcodes Particular.  Thats what I use.  Ocassionally i composite the results of those back into 3d (like i did in the sample animation for zillion tv) EI, I am hoping, will add a particle system in the future.  But I do what I need to do in the meantime.  EI and Camera are SO good and SO fast that I have no problems with what it lacks in other areas temporarily.

Good luck, and hang in there with EI, it is so good at so many things!

Scott, nice loop. I especially like the rainbow refraction going on in the background.

Hi Scott,

Thankx for your honest opinion.
I am too happy abt EI’s fast and quality rendering.
And do some other stuff in 3dMax bcz of wider support.

quality and immediately looked into and then purchased EI 7 today!  smile

Great work Scott.

The flares and refractions are great. How long did the renders take? Did you use Knoll lense flares within EI?

Hi Ash, I used knoll in AE, THEN brought it into EI.  the render stats are over on CG talk.  But briefly, Camera rendered 1920x1080 2x2 sampling on an 8 core 2.8 ghz machine at roughly 30 minutes a frame.  Or with 8 cores, 16 frames an hour or about 3 minutes and 45 seconds a frame in total.....
