Hi all
Sliced bread!
I have a loaf of bread I want to slice up; it’s modelled as a whole loaf and then the individual slices. Usually I can paste a texture from the master object (the loaf) and have it paste into place across other objects (ie texturemaps would not snap to the centre point but would respect where they were in world space...) I played a little with explicit/implicit position in the texture window but it doesnt seem to make any difference. Any pointers would be great, usually this just works and I’ve never thought about why…
All the best

Hi Rory,

If I remember correctly, the trick here is to paste the material ONTO the material ball of the receiving object, not just the usual technique of clicking on it in the project window and pasting.

I’m not entirely certain, but give it a go smile
Best,
Ian

yeah, that worked for me, it’s odd but true…

if you have enough objects and establish a rythym, it can be trance inducing…

Rory,
Ian’s tip is explained in more detail in this thread http://www.eitechnologygroup.com/forums/viewthread/426/P0/

The infamous Puzzle thread… is now the infamous bread thread.
