I would like to see the ability to use Weighted Tangent handles in the Function Curve Editor. Being able to pull your curves into shape helps control the ‘feel’ of your animation immensely.

Thanks.

Hi Kurt,

This suggestion has been around a while too. I agree. I think it would be a great feature.

Still working on my mock ups..should have something up soon.

smile Hi Kurt, well that is the beauty of Adobe After Effects, you can add these type of curves, inside EI impossible. At least having found a reasonable way to do such a simple task.

Its been brought up to the Igors before.. but they mentioned that it wasn’t possible...(if I remember right.) I’m not sure why. Perhaps I’m not remembering correctly.

The Igors aren’t familiar with the FCE they would have to learn it’s framework etc. Nothing is impossible smile

Thing is, without this feature, there is certain type of animation motion that can’t be acheived without cluttering the curves up with more keys. Then it becomes harder to edit.

We’ll make every effort to get some FCE features into the next UP list.

Best,

Yeap, we never worked with FCE, it’s a new area for us. But, as we remember, there is a solid pack of FCE improvements (formulated/compiled by Jens). So maybe it makes a sense to talk about “FCE improving” instead of local “Bezier knee” addition
