EI 8 crashes when either importing, or more often, when trying to manipulate a texture in the texture window.  No error messages, it just disappears.

Anybody else experiencing this?  Any solutions?

Hey PR, I had this problem. Is was because some of the textures that were already there had become corrupted. I removed/replaced them in .img format and then the new ones could be added okay. Hopefully that helps your situation. -dr

Thank goodness I found this thread. I was getting the exact same thing. Removed unused textures and reimported used ones and the crashing went away.
