Hi
Render External in Silo 2 not working for Fact models in EIAS.
Exporting in .fac from Silo 2.0 give me a message that no geometry’s found in this shape when importing as Fact in EI.
Working well with version 1.42 of Silo but not in version 2.0.03.
I’m asking you even this problem look like a Silo problem because I don’t have any answer from Silo Thecs.

Thanks Matt

Howdy Michel,

I’m afraid the good people at Nevercentre accidentally broke Fact export in their final release (it worked in the betas). I’m sure they will fix it soon!

Best,
Ian

As far as i remember it was always broken in the betas. The only solution is currently to “refine mesh” in Silo 2, then it will work. (but keep an unrefined mesh as backup before doing so...)

I just did a simple “refine mesh” test and it seems to work.

Of course then your object is no longer editable, so as Stefan said, keep a backup.
