Having participated in some forum discussions that ended up uncovering a few buggy or outdated components in EIAS 6.x’ downloadable installers (Lens Flare, Light Flare, Xpressionist), these components having been corrected later (some of you guys kindly sent us test versions to check), I have noticed that, months later, none of these have been posted in the Downloads section of the EITG website. Recently I had to email one correctly functioning test Lens Flare socket to a fellow EIAS user whose deadlines were rather critical.

I’d urge you to take a look at this situation. Even if the downloadable EIAS installers would produce the correct components now (have they been updated?), the fact is that none other than the ones involved in these forum talks are aware of these issues. The corrected sockets ought to be there for us to update our EIAS setups if needed so.
