Hi All,

Thank you for reading this. I have a model with hundreds of parts and have imported it into a complex scene. The imported object is immense. How do I scale this thing, maintaining proportions between the parts, since it’s made of so many pieces?

Thank you again.

Hi,

I have no EIAS in front of me, but this procedure should be easy. Just check in the “Joint Editor” that “Inherent Scale” is checked on your parts. You can set this also in the preferences if i remember correctly. Than simple add a Null Effector to your object and then parent all your parts to this Null Effector. Now you can scale the Null Effector and all parts will scale proportionally.

Regards

Also remember that once you turn on inherit scale for one item, you can turn them on for all of them by right-clicking on the check box and choosing the appropriate entry from the pop-up menu.
