Does this works on the real version. ´Cause i am using the demo until monday and i find that is not recognizing the file. I don’t even have an FBX option on the Import dialog. Is this feature an issue of the Demo or something else?
Another thing what will ou guys recommend for bringing C4D objects , should i subdivide them in C4D ?
I am modeling all my geometry in C4D and it just goes very slow when i imported and pass the model thru Transporter.Cold that mean that i will need to purchased OBJ2FACT or i could i bring them as FBX?

Gracias

PS: What happened with the motion graphics or broadcast design gallery. I tend not to distinguish both of them.

Hiya,

FBX into EI is done through the File/Open dialogue and not the import dialogue. Also, make sure the fbx file extension is in lower case in the file name.

Yo dude i have tried but nothing i guess i am using the demo, so it could be that. When saving from C4D i export as FBX and it appears to be in lower case , than i go and open the file in Animator as All Fileas. Than nothing happened i was especting the menu to appear but nothing . Oh well. Thanks anyways.

Is ok i am not a character animator for the things i will like to use character animation tools i have enough with EI but it has been so long since i have used it for character animation, again fish, birds, nothing fancy no human or bipeds or quads. smile I am mograher morphing into some sort of a freak of visuals, sensations and so on.

Thanks Nige , lookng at the tutorial from Ian when exported the file it doesnt have the icon as Ians tutorial. So i think i might need to convert them into something else thru FBX converter.

Fresh and ready to go.
Just got the upgrade today. Havent try anything but to bring in my C4D models as FBX.
In Cinema you have to activate an option to export your model as FBX v5 i had it on v6 but i turbned it back to v6 and it does work probably i had to update.
Problem is these time is UV it doesnt read the UV as the check box in Animator is not active . But creating a Ubershape it shows active.
I am getting closer guys.

Well seems like the way i animate my bones is not good because in C4D the bones look very different than in EI. They come all tisted and kind of not what i want smile
I have watch Ian video tutorial but it doesnt say how to properly set your bones , if there is such way. SO textures are working fine, not perfect but accetabñe. Bones is a no no for me.
Lets give it another shot.
