How to get real time OpenGL previews?  Plays back too fast now.

When I do OpenGL previews, how can I make sure it plays back in real time? Right now, it’s zipping through animation too fast. A five-second animation is playing back in less than two secs.

I’ve tried unchecking/checking “skip frames” and “playback immediately”, but there doesn’t seem to be any difference.

Using EI 7.0.1 here.

Strange, clicking “Drop frames” in the preview options of the Camera window does the job for me.
A 30fps simple animation will go from 200fps to the requested 30 fpd by clicking it. (using 7.0.1 also)

Clicking drop frames will get it to slow down, however, it won’t actually play back at 30fps (or whatever your project setting is) - it’s very approximate. It’s a well known bug, I hope someone takes the time to look at it.

Currently, the only way to get a perfectly accurate preview is to write one to the hard drive and play it back with Quicktime.

Thanks for the replies. Even it it plays back just a little too fast, it’s hard to judge subtle movement (like timing eases or overshoots).

Looks like QT previews is the way to go for now.  Please get this fixed soon.
