Mrs Bebel works great running 6.5 on my PPC G5 using OSX 10.4.2...it runs out of memory every now and then and I have to sut down an instance of MrsBebel and then everything is fine.

Running EI 7.0 PPC with Camera 7.0 PPC Mrs Bebel 2.0 constantly crashes Camera if I excede more than one or two instances of the pluggin. I’ve never had crashing issues with Mrs Bebel before but I don’t use V7 all that much.

Is there a fix as in a V7.1 or something ..or a Mrs Bebel fix?

Thanks.

Nothing?.....no suggestions, no fixes in the works? No interest I guess.

Hello Paul,

I rarely use more than one Mrs Bebel instance in my projects. Do you animate Mrs Bebel plug-in over time?  If not, you could just export and reimport the «Bebelized» objects to get rid of the problem.  I generally do that, not because the plug-in crashes Camera but to get a speed benefit when I render animations since the plug-ins is not live anymore and doesn’t need to recalculate the geometry for each frame.

Hey Maher,

I usually have many instances up when I am designing a look or layout. I had as many as 7-8 in the early days when EI/Camera could handle them. Now as everything gets newer, less and less can be used.

I always freeze for animations as I use the Anisotropic Shader a lot and it produces flashing polys when Bebel remains live.

Having Bebel in EI set the combo apart in many ways for design work...no other app had anything as quick and effective. Oh well, I’m sure I’ll find some other solution somewhere else if it doesn’t get resolved. It becomes even more difficult making a living when software you use stops being predictable as it ‘matures’.

Please upload a sample prj to show the freeze probs you wrote. If you’ve probs with Mrs+Anisotropic - or just with Anisotropic - please post test prj(s) too. We can’t promise immediate answer/diagnose but we’ll find time for this.
