I’ve been trying to setup a render farm between two macs and a PC. When i have a mac as a master and the PC as a slave, i have no problem with PC’s Renderama Slave application working, it worked on the first try. However, when i try to setup the other mac as a slave, on the same network, it fails to be recognized. My network is running through an Airport Wireless and i’m not sure if that’s the problem, I’ve read the Animator PDF manual and it claims that you need to be running your network via Ethernet/no appletalk...but no matter what I’ve tried I can’t seem to get a mac slave to join the farm. If anyone has had luck with joining a mac slave to mac master, I’d love to hear how you did it.
